Former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner is in the middle of yet another sexting scandal after the New York Post published photos and private messages with a woman, including an NSFW photo with his 4-year-old son in the background, Sunday night.
According to the New York Post, the conversations began in January 2015 with the woman on the West Coast, who remained anonymous, and continued sometime this month. He messaged her as his wife, Huma Abedin, campaigned for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Weiner reportedly invited her to visit, but she never took him up on his offer.
While they exchanged various photos in their private messages—some of them NSFW—the photo featuring his son came on July 31, 2015. He and the woman were messaging when Weiner’s son crawled into bed and he sent her the photo, which included a bulge. The Post recounts the woman’s private messages, which show Weiner worrying that he accidentally posted the photo publicly.
“Someone just climbed into my bed,” Weiner wrote.
“Really?” she responded.
Weiner then hit “send” on the cringe-inducing image, which shows a bulge in his white, Jockey-brand boxer briefs and his son cuddled up to his left, wrapped in a light-green blanket.
“You do realize you can see you[r] Weiner in that pic??” the woman wrote.
Moments after forwarding the photo, Weiner freaked out over the possibility he had accidentally posted it publicly — just as he did during the infamous episode that forced him to resign from Congress in 2011.
“Ooooooh . . . I was scared. For half a second I thought I posted something. Stop looking at my crotch,” Weiner wrote back.

This isn’t Weiner’s first sexting scandal, with the original 2011 scandal leading to his resignation from Congress. His second scandal happened in 2013 as he was campaigning to become mayor of New York City, which became the subject of the documentary Weiner.
“She has asked me not to comment except to say that our conversations were private, often included pictures of her nieces and nephews and my son and were always appropriate,” Weiner told the Post.
In what appears to be a response to the latest scandal, Weiner has deleted his Twitter account.
