One of Jared Fogle’s child porn victims has dropped her lawsuit against the former Subway spokesman, who pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography and traveling to have sex with minors.
According to TMZ, Jane Doe agreed to dismiss the civil suit with prejudice, meaning she and her parents can’t sue Fogle for the same thing again. TMZ interprets that to mean a settlement was reached. Doe was seeking $150,000.
The lawsuit against Fogle alleged that Doe became suicidal after being unknowingly filmed by Fogle and his associate, Russell Taylor, at Taylor’s house. According to court documents, Taylor installed hidden cameras around his house to film Doe and other minors changing, showering, and doing other private activities.
In turn, Fogle sued Doe’s parents, arguing that their behavior toward her “caused Jane Doe to suffer from emotional distress, anxiety, and major depression before she learned of any allegations [about Fogle and Taylor]” (and thus gave them free reign to film a minor?). Fogle is currently serving a 15-year sentence in federal prison in Colorado.
