Jarryd Hayne is an accomplished rugby player from Australia. He was so good he managed to make the San Francisco 49ers NFL team in 2015 and played eight games as a running back. These days, he spends part of his time giving internet safety talks to high school students. Apparently, he also inadvertently shows those same students porn.
That was what happened recently at Robina State High School in Queensland, Australia, when the demonstration Hayne was giving was interrupted by porn images broadcast on a large screen. Naturally, the snafu was caught on tape.

Hayne’s phone was apparently connected to public Wi-Fi that was supposed to be displaying his browsing history to the hundreds of students in attendance. But like anytime anyone is caught with porn, Hayne denied the porn was his, and that appears to be the case.
“During our Wi-Fi demo we had an open network that was available for anyone to connect to and someone had connected to the network and browsed to a site where the images were displayed,” Norton Security’s Paul Savvides, who was helping with Hayne’s presentation, told ABC.net. “I’ve just checked and the device … that did that was not Jarryd’s phone.”
OK, we’ll buy that, especially since Norton Security said that the images came from a Samsung device and not the iPhone Hayne was using. Besides, porn problems can happen to anybody, right?
At least Jarryd Hayne got to fulfil his lifelong dream of accidentally showing porn to schoolchildren during a lecture on cybersecurity.

Those kids clearly learned a valuable lesson about cybersecurity—just not the ones Hayne had intended.
