Adult streaming service Pornhub reported decreased traffic on its site during the presidential debate between President Donald Trump and Joe Biden on Tuesday. Per the report, traffic dropped by 18.5% within the first hour.
“Since 2013, the Pornhub Insights blog has shown how live events lead millions of people to briefly change their daily porn viewing routine,” the statement said.
Graphics in Pornhub’s report noted that swing states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, Maine, and Wisconsin represented the largest discrepancy in viewership.
Directly after the debate, Connecticut and Maine represented the highest traffic percentages on the site compared to an “average day” of Pornhub intake.
Pornhub compared the data to the 2016 election between Trump and Hilary Clinton and found that the drop in traffic increased from 16%.
Across the political spectrum, Republican states experienced a 14.4% percent change, Democratic states experienced a 15.1% change, and swing states had a 17.2% change on Tuesday.
Pornhub did not immediately respond to the Daily Dot’s request for comment.
