This article contains sexually explicit content.
In what is definitely an example of someone exercising questionable judgment, a professor at Queen Mary University in London showed her students an extremely sexually explicit video that is also possibly seizure-inducing. And they say students aren’t learning anything in school nowadays.
Lauren Barri Holstein, a PhD student at the school, showed her students a video for a production of her performance art piece, Splat! It features music such as “Happy” by Leona Lewis and “Poison” by Nicole Scherzinger, because of course it does.
The video transitions abruptly from some light swinging and ballet, to a chaotic sequence of convulsing and ejecting condoms from the vagina. (The vag comes out at 1:37, just to give you a heads up.) Here’s a link to the video, which is obviously NSFW. This is pretty much the only screengrab we can show you.
The Queen Mary student newspaper the Tab reports that the screening was intended to show students how theatre can incorporate intertextual references and dance. But when your professor is busy masturbating with a tampon to bloody completion, that lesson might get a little lost in translation.
These are just a few of the outrageous scenes from the video:
- Woman rips apart tomato with bare hands
- A deer-headed figure rollerskates around, eventually peeing on stage
- That tampon scene we already touched upon
- OK, really, the whole thing is a lot, so just watch it yourself
Now, aren’t we all regretting skipping out on those theater courses in college?
