Another adult performer has accused porn’s “boy next door” of sexual assault.
Former porn star Tori Lux alleged in a piece she published today in the Daily Beast that James Deen assaulted her. Lux’s allegations come just days after another adult star accused Deen of rape.
A third adult actress accused Deen of sexual assault later on Tuesday, and even more have come forward since then.
Lux wrote that Deen sexually assaulted her on set at “a major porn studio” in June 2011, “with other people present and failing to intervene.” She described how Deen allegedly approached her on set and asked her, “Tori Lux, would you like to sniff my testicles?” When she told him no, he asked again. She wrote:
I replied with a firm “No,” in order to establish my boundary—which James then disregarded by grabbing me by the throat and shoving me down onto a mattress on the floor.
He proceeded to straddle my chest, pinning down my arms with his knees. Then, he raised his hand high above his head, swinging it down and hitting me in the face and head with an open palm. He did this five or six times—hard—before finally getting off of me.
Lux continued to describe how, as she tried to rise, Deen allegedly assaulted her another time: “Disoriented and nursing a sore jaw, I stood up—but before I could collect myself, he grabbed me by my hair and shoved me to my knees, forcing my face into his crotch several times before shoving me to the floor.”
The Daily Beast piece arrives two days after Stoya, another adult-film actress, accused Deen of assault on Twitter:

Lux explains in her piece that she did not go to the police or speak up publicly after the alleged assault happened because she thought, as an adult film performer, she wouldn’t be believed. “[P]eople—including the police—tend to believe that sex workers have placed themselves in harm’s way, and therefore can’t be assaulted,” she wrote.
After a day of silence, Deen responded to Stoya’s allegations on his Twitter account on Sunday night, calling the allegations “false and defamatory.”

In the 48 hours since Stoya, who once dated Deen, became public, the hashtag #StandwithStoya has taken off, with Twitter users voicing their support with the actress.
Deen has not yet responded to our requests for comment about the allegations.
Update 11am CT, Nov. 30: A third woman has come forward accusing Deen of sexual assault. Speaking to the Daily Beast, adult performer Ashley Fires described an incident when she was allegedly assaulted by Deen in the communal bathroom of Kink.com’s offices.
Fires described seeing Deen grab another woman “like a caveman, grabs her by the hair and takes her off somewhere … I can only imagine.” Later on that same day, Fires said Deen came up behind her in a communal bathroom and “pushe[d] himself and his erection into my butt.” She says she told him “no” and shoved him off.
Fires continued that she has refused to work with Deen after the assault and has explained to agents, producers, and other managers about her refusal. Deen allegedly caught wind that Fires was talking about his behavior, she told the Daily Beast, because a year later, he allegedly confronted her and asked her to “stop telling people about it.”
Update 2:45pm CT, Nov. 30: James Deen voluntarily resigned today as chairperson of the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee’s (APAC) board of directors. “APAC recognizes the seriousness of the statements made by performers in the community and that they indicate a major conflict between a board member and other members of the organization,” APAC said in a statement.
Update 10:30am CT, Dec. 1: A fourth woman has come forward accusing James Deen of raping her in 2009 at party during the AVN Awards in Las Vegas. The woman, who chose to identified as “T.M.” told LAist the story of what she says happened that night:
“I’d been drinking with my coworkers and friends, and I wandered up to a party in a suite not really knowing what it was. As soon as I walked [into the party], Deen saw me. He didn’t say anything. He grabbed me in front of the entire party and took me into a side room. I definitely said ‘no,’ but I was also super scared. There was a crowd of his friends and fans [in the room]. He forced me to [perform oral sex on him] and had sex with me. As soon as he was done, he walked away. I was kind of in shock and I was embarrassed, so I just left, and I didn’t tell anyone. And I didn’t tell the people around me who had seen it that I didn’t want it, because here’s this person who’s important in the industry who’s dating my friend and is involved business-wise with people I worked with. I didn’t want it to affect my career or my friends’ careers. At the time, I also blamed myself. It felt like a weird gray area. And I don’t think anyone there knew that what he was doing wasn’t consensual.”
“T.M.” also said that Joanna Angel—Deen’s ex and fellow porn star who he was dating at the time— knows about what transpired that night and believes her. “I warned people that I knew about him, and if I ever saw a friend or acquaintance make some sort of ‘James Deen is so dreamy’ post, I would have a private conversation with them about what really happened,” “T.M.” told LAist. “But I wasn’t ready to do that publicly, because he was still an important figure in the industry and again, I didn’t want to affect my or my friends’ careers by bringing it to light. He had the audacity once to ask me why I didn’t like him.”
Now that Stoya came forward, “T.M.” said, it was like the “dam was breaking.”
Update 11:40am CT, Dec. 2: Two more women have come forward to say that they had similarly violent experiences with Deen.
Porn actress Amber Rayne, who told the Daily Beast that Deen is now a close friend, says she first worked with him on a film that was released in 2006. “We were in a piledriver, he was fucking me in the ass and I said something like, ‘Yeah fuck me like that you son of a bitch.’ His face twisted and he came down on my face two times—close-fisted,” Rayne told the Daily Beast. “I was punched in the face while he was still in my ass and then he starts going crazy on my butt—extreme, brutally fucking it. He just starts shoving things in to the point where he ripped it and I bled everywhere. There was so much blood I couldn’t finish the scene.”
Rayne says her agent took her to hospital.
Another porn actress, Kora Peters, says she worked with Deen early in her career. Peters says that despite being clear that she would not have anal sex, Deen allegedly choked her, slammed her face into the on-set couch, and anally penetrated her.
Update 5:18pm CT, Dec. 3: More porn performers have come forward about alleged abuse by Deen.
Adult actress Lily LaBeau described various situations of abuse to Vocativ while filming at the Kink.com studios, including that Deen pulled a cattle prod on her during a scene and also slapped her across the face so hard that her jaw locked.
Two additional performers, one who spoke on the condition of anonymity and the other the actor/director Derrick Pierce, corroborated LaBeau’s account to Vocativ. Both Pierce and a spokesperson for Kink.com confirmed through Vocativ that Deen was asked to leave the set after the jaw incident.
In a separate incident, LaBeau said Deen spat in her eye, despite the fact that was supposed to happen during the “vanilla” BDSM scene being filmed. Pierce also corroborated this incident to Vocativ.
Update 9:40pm CT, Dec. 3: An eighth woman has come forward. Porn actress Nicki Blue told the Daily Mail on Thursday that she was also assaulted by Deen. She says Kink.com was complicit in covering it up.
It occurred following a scene with Deen years ago, and with what first began as consensual sex:
It was nice at first, then it got really rough. I kept trying to pull my head up to say something, it was too rough.
But he would just push my head back in so I was choking and I couldn’t say anything.
As he was doing it—this is the embarrassing part and why I didn’t say anything—he said “oh my God, I have to go to the bathroom” and he pissed in my mouth.
That was it, I spit it up, I was upset. Then after that, he had the idea of putting the beer bottle up my ass. So that was done.
Blue says Kink.com admins deleted her follow-up posts about the situation, and that she was then banned from the site. Kink.com issued this follow-up statement to the Daily Dot:
Deen was ejected from that shoot, but that should never have happened. It seems that he was really strategic about using or creating situations where he could be sadistic beyond was was consensual and still have plausible deniability. We’re looking back at our experience with James in its entirety, and with regret for not catching it earlier. What we need to focus on now is how to make sure that no one is able to get away with that again. I hope the rest of the industry is doing the same.
