Pornhub takes down videos secretly filmed in a college women’s locker room

Pornhub has taken down hidden camera footage shot inside of a women’s locker room at Limestone College as police work to identify the culprit behind the tapes.

According to TMZ, the hidden cameras were installed in a visiting locker room at the South Carolina school in late 2012 and recorded footage–unbeknownst to the women–for months. The school wasn’t made aware of the videos until this year, after someone uploaded them to Pornhub.

In all of the videos, women can be seen showering and changing clothes, WLKY reports. A police report says that the videos appeared to have been shot from a sink.

After the footage was reported to the school and Pornhub was made aware of it, the videos were immediately deleted from its site.

“Through the years, we have supported legislation that has made revenge porn illegal and have also worked directly alongside local authorities on individual cases to assist in prosecution,” Pornhub Vice President Blake White said, according to Complex. “On our platform, we strongly condemn non-consensual content, including revenge porn.”

TMZ reports that officials have identified a “person of interest” in the case. The suspect in question was not a student at the school but was “associated with the school at the time,” it reports.

In a statement, Limestone College said it was “unfortunate that an individual or individuals might have violated the terms under which we are gathered as a community at this College.”

“We will continue to cooperate with the proper law enforcement authorities as the investigation moves forward. Because this is an ongoing matter, we will be unable to comment further until the investigation is completed,” the school said.
